ReThink Relevant
I created ReThink Relevant as an Instructional Designer for Colorado Mesa University with the support of my Director and Associate Vice President, Gillian McKnight-Tutein, EdD who is now Senior Educational Equity Officer for the Colorado Department of Higher Education and continues to be a strong mentor for me. We wanted to start a conversation about how professors and students view online learning, and challenge them to look at distance education from a new perspective. I wrote, filmed and edited this video and enjoyed collaborating with professors from many different disciplines.

ePortfolio Project Manager
As the ePortfolio Project Manager at Colorado Mesa University, one of my key responsibilities was overseeing the implementation of the university’s strategic plan for ePortfolios and ensuring its alignment with institutional goals. This included regularly reporting progress and key milestones to both the Academic Council and the Board of Trustees, providing data-driven insights on the project’s impact and adoption across campus.
To effectively communicate our progress, I created this informative video as a visual and narrative summary for both groups. While I would have preferred a slightly faster narration pace for enhanced engagement, I was overall very pleased with the final product. The video successfully captured the core objectives, achievements, and future direction of the ePortfolio initiative, making it a valuable resource for stakeholders in assessing the project’s success and next steps.
Online Teaching Essentials
I designed and facilitated Online Teaching Essentials (OTE), which provided faculty with essential training in online course design, engagement strategies, accessibility compliance, and the integration of instructional technologies to enhance student learning experiences.
In the fall of 2019, the Academic Council for CMU implemented new guidelines to enhance the effectiveness of online and hybrid instruction. As part of this update, faculty teaching hybrid courses were required to complete and pass OTE under the same standards as those teaching fully online courses.
Master Capstone
Roosevelt & Taft: The Price of Politics is a documentary I produced as the capstone thesis project for my Master’s in Public History degree. This project was the culmination of an intensive, year-long process, divided into two key phases: the first semester was dedicated to in-depth historical research and scriptwriting, while the second focused on full-scale production, including filming, editing, and post-production work.
I took on multiple roles throughout the project, serving as the writer, director, cinematographer, and editor, ensuring that the documentary was both historically accurate and visually compelling. The film explores the complex political relationship between Theodore Roosevelt and William Howard Taft, highlighting the personal and ideological conflicts that shaped the American political landscape in the early 20th century.
A special thanks to Steve Oldfield, Fox 23 Entertainment Correspondent, whose exceptional narration brought depth and professionalism to the documentary. His voice helped bring the story to life, making this film not only an academic achievement but also an engaging historical narrative.
